Markus Rubner is a technical consultant in rail vehicle technology at Wiener Linien (public transport company in Vienna) and responsible for subway procurement. He is currently busy with the procurement of the X-Car. It will be used throughout the network, even driverless on the future U5.

He spoke about the measures necessary to make driverless operation safe. He tells how accidents can be avoided and what happens if accidents nevertheless happen.

Thomas Bleier is an information security expert for industrial applications. In the course of his self-employed undertakings, he is also a university lecturer at the UAS Campus Wien and chairman of the standardizing working group "IACS Security" (Industrial Automation and Control Systems Security) in the OVE. This represents the corresponding national committee for the development of the IEC 62443 series of standards.

Thomas Fränzl, Domain Manager Air Traffic Control Tower & Airport at Frequentis, is a former air traffic controller and human factors and usability expert with many years of experience in safety-critical systems. He is also a part-time lecturer at the UAS Campus Wien und UAS St. Pölten.

In the podcast he talked about the beginnings of human factors and how human factors influenced the safety of systems. Positive and negative examples were addressed and it was shown that humans are also present in highly automated systems and must be taken into account.
